Biography
Klaus is a partner in the German firm and started with KPMG in the audit practice. He is a certified auditor as well as certified tax advisor. Since the start of his career he has been in involved in advising banks in risk management issues, mainly in credit risk. Klaus is the National Solution Leader for Basel II in Germany, he co-leads KPMG's FRM Competence Cluster on Risk Management Compliance in Germany and is also member of the International Coordination team. His main responsibility is advising clients about the new regulatory challenges and its implications.

Regulators across the world are working to fashion a new framework for the financial services industry in the wake of the crisis. The Basel Committee for Banking Supervision is pressing ahead with revisions to the current accord.
